Dubai, one of the seven United Arab Emirates

Originally a small fishing settlement, Dubai was taken over in about 1830 by a branch of the Bani Yas tribe from the Liwa oasis led by the Maktoum family who still rule the emirate today.

Dubai, one of the seven United Arab Emirates, is considered to be one of the desirable real estate opportunities in the world. Dubai is the fastest growing city in the world, one-third of the cranes in the world are currently being used to build in Dubai. Dubai has also been rated by Interpol as one of the safest countries to live, which many may find hard to believe from what they have heard about the Middle East.
Dubai is a bustling centre of excellence, recognized as the commercial capital and tourism centre of the region, and one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world. It is a city of contrasts, where outstanding modern architecture and soaring skyscrapers stand alongside traditional Arabic buildings and suburban villas. Dubai's many and varied attractions provide visitors with a unique experience.
Dubai is labelled the "shopping capital of the Middle East". With so many shopping malls and souks, there's no better place to find products at unbeatable prices. Cars, haute couture clothing, jewellery, electronics, furnishing, sporting equipment, and any other goods will likely all be under the same roof. Retail prices are very reasonable because of its open port and low import duties and the variety of products available.

Jumeirah Beach Park and Al Mamzar Park feature beautifully landscaped gardens alongside an expanse of protected beach and offer a wide range of amenities. Both parks are open from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm daily. Saturday and Sunday, for ladies and children only at Jumeirah Beach Park, Wednesday at Al Mamzar Park. Dubai's many recreational parks are popular with families. Mushrif Park, just beyond the airport, the Creekside Park, Safa Park and Umm Suqueim Park are four of the finest, featuring lush gardens, exotic plants and a variety of amusements.
